

BRANDON GRAVES
Brandon Graves is a Visiting Lecturer in Digital Media at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, where he teaches courses in video journalism, video storytelling, and multimedia production. A six-time Emmy nominee and Edward R. Murrow Award winner, he spent more than a decade working in television news, including serving as Director of Visual Presentation at 13News Now in Norfolk, Virginia. Throughout his career, Brandon has focused on the craft of video storytelling, helping journalists and visual storytellers develop stronger narratives and more compelling video journalism across digital platforms. In addition to his newsroom leadership experience, he has taught video and interactive journalism at the University of California, Berkeley and previously served as Director of the Newsroom Collective, where he partnered with newsrooms and journalists across the country to strengthen video journalism and visual storytelling practices.
Today, Brandon continues to teach and produce video storytelling while sharing insights on media, storytelling, and professional growth through digital platforms.
